LE FAWNHAWK: LADIES OF THE CANYON
Closing Night
A Celebration Of Creative Women & The Artistic Lineage Of The Desert
Hosted at Amery Bohling Fine Art Gallery
Join us for a special gathering to celebrate the legacy of creative women and the artistic lineage of the desert. On the closing night of Le Fawnhawn: Desert Alchemy, we honor the enduring spirit of the Desert through the lens of those who have shaped its narrative. This intimate evening brings together a community of artists, creatives, and visionaries to reflect on the intersection of art, nature, and legacy.
Inspired by the work of Georgia O'Keeffe and the pioneering women who have contributed to the artistic identity of the desert, this event invites guests to explore the profound influence of the land on creative expression. As part of the celebration, Petecia Le Fawnhawk's installation will remain on display, offering a final opportunity to experience the collaboration with photographer Eliot Lee Hazel, the sculptural pieces, and the O'Keeffe-inspired fashion that bridges past and present.
At the heart of the exhibition is an original framed dress once owned by Georgia O’Keeffe, a relic of her artistic and personal ethos. Alongside it, O’Keeffe-inspired dresses reimagine her presence through a contemporary lens—where art is lived, worn, and carried forward.
This evening is a tribute to the women who have not only drawn inspiration from the desert but also made an indelible impact on its cultural and artistic landscape. Through a dialogue between art, history, and the elemental forces of nature, Desert Alchemy culminates in a celebration of the power of women in art and the unspoken stories the desert continues to tell.
