OF ONE: Singular Objects and Storied Forms

Join us for One Of, a Desert Design Week exhibition and afternoon gathering presented in collaboration with Camelback Flowershop. This event brings together collectible objects, design, and community, within one of Phoenix’s most beloved and beautifully designed spaces.

The exhibition features the work of ceramic artists Nicole Neu (Nik Nik) and Sasha Court, whose sculptural, hand-built pieces sit at the intersection of functional object and fine art.

Neu’s vessels are quiet and architectural, shaped in earthy tones of cream, black, and white. Built slowly by hand, they carry the feeling of something both ancient and modern—slightly imperfect, deeply human, and rich with material memory. Court’s pieces offer vibrant contrast: sculptural silhouettes brought to life with expressive glazes, layered textures, expressive glaze layering, and intricate surface textures. Together, their work reflects a shared devotion to form, originality, and process. Each piece is intentional, beautifully made, and entirely one of one.

Styled throughout Camelback Flowershop’s airy, light-filled interior, the exhibition becomes a living study in placement and presence, with curated florals woven throughout to echo the character of each object.

Guests are invited to explore, collect, and connect. It’s the perfect afternoon for those who appreciate the handmade, the meaningful, and originality. Art will be available for acquisition in limited quantities.

SASHA COURT

Sasha Court’s hand-built vessels explore the space between form and feeling. Guided by intuition and rhythm, she allows each piece to emerge slowly, embracing traces of the making process such as finger marks, asymmetries, and subtle imperfections as part of the work’s resonance. Her ceramics dwell in dualities of strength and fragility, weight and delicacy, structure and softness. More than objects, they are quiet companions, holding presence, intimacy, and a kind of beauty that asks for closeness and time. Each piece becomes a reflection of what it means to be human, containing both ache and awe in form.

NIK NIK

Nik Nik is the studio practice of West Coast-based interior stylist and artist Nicole Neu, offering interior styling, floral design, and bespoke objects for the home. Through hand-built forms, Neu embraces the beauty of irregularities, fingerprints, and the tactile connection between hand and material. Her one-of-a-kind pieces serve as echoes of ancient forms, bridging the space between everyday objects and art. Each vessel is created intuitively, marked by unique textures and traces of the making process, imbuing the work with presence and memory. Valuing both utility and ritual, Neu’s practice revives a sense of magic in daily life, offering objects that invite touch, closeness, and care.
