STAY SKYEVIEW
The transformation of Stay Skyeview is the result of a collaboration between Trent Hancock of Camelot Homes and architectural designer Joel Contreras, who reimagined the original ’70s home into a striking retreat nestled into the rocks of Camelback Mountain, with panoramic views of the downtown Phoenix skyline and the valley. The renovation honors the home’s history while introducing modern design elements, clean lines, natural materials, and organic touches, creating an atmosphere where the home and its surrounding beauty coexist in perfect harmony. Floor-to-ceiling windows and wraparound decks evoke the feeling of an aerie retreat, while the cliff-side pool and deck offer even more breathtaking vistas. Expertly designed and furnished with chic modern pieces, a well-established art collection, and thoughtful design, this is a one-of-a-kind desert sanctuary.

THE MITCHELL HOUSE
The Mitchell House was reimagined in 2022 by Jacob & Michael Syltebo of PHX Historic Design Studio. Originally built in 1960 and featured in Sunset Magazine as ‘The Home of the Future’ it blends mid-century design with organic contemporary elements as an ode to the desert landscape. Torn down nearly completely, the home was expanded upon, and rebuilt with many of the historical elements and retains much of the original floorplan coupled with 21st-century amenities. Rethinking the home involved strategic updates that enhance its livability without compromising its historical integrity, for example, the stone fire pit in the front yard is original to the home. It was located inside the main living area where the new cold rolled steel fireplace replaces it with a more contemporary and functional fireplace.
The new spaces were intended for a more modern indoor/outdoor living where the separation of spaces simply vanishes, yet there remains a coziness to each space. The original home had no exterior windows, only one large window that opened to the patio. This experimental design was intended for energy conservation. The landscaping was another project of epic proportions. The entire lot which used to be a flat orchard was regraded, and inspired by the famous Kaufmann house in Palm Springs. Large boulders were craned in, what the neighbors call “the mountain” of desert landscaping keeping the low-profile house behind it still a bit mysterious. The pool was placed with the intent to keep the existing citrus trees, and the home was designed around keeping and incorporating the established palms. and the indoor atrium the house blurs the lines of indoor-outdoor modern living with an homage to the past.

Founded in 1987, the philanthropic and social club known today as the Saguaros has raised millions of dollars for local Arizona non-profit organizations. Comprised of up to 50 young men under the age of 40, we proudly give back to the community and support children’s charities through our three main fundraising events: NiteFlite, Brokers for Kids and Agents Benefiting Children. Most important, the Saguaros is unique among service organizations in that it not only raises money for children’s charities, but also encourage “hands on” interaction with the children the club supports. This active participation serves to strengthen relationships with those it serves and create a true partnership with its charity partners.
